Fellow Senior Here
Hi, I’m Susan, and a fellow senior!
Getting old is something we think about from time to time as we go through life, but rarely it can be viewed clearly until we’re there. It’s a bit like traveling to a different country – some things are like you imagined, but being there offers a much different perspective. How you enjoy your trip will be more about your openness to change and your willingness to adapt and learn – it’s about your mindset.
“There is nothing permanent except change” — Heraclitus
As I looked into the topic of aging, one thing became clear. There is a multitude of information out there on our ability to create profound change even at this stage of life. Aging Reinvented is a gathering of assorted topics that you may find helpful and motivating.
How I came to this place was through my own journey into what I wanted from these important years in my life. I found that I wanted to share what I learned and help other seniors. I realized when looking back over my life, the moments I felt the most joy and meaning were when I was focused on caring for others: raising my son, then supporting both parents as they aged (my father through heart issues, and then my mother with Alzheimer’s), as well as a few years providing home health care during a time when I was figuring out my next career move.
I’ve spent most of my years in marketing, with the last 14 years as a web designer and owner of a digital marketing company. My long affinity with organizing, thinking creatively, and communication are useful tools that I hope to share.
At this point of my life it’s clear to me it is not about the “stuff”. It’s about relationships and showing up for each other, allowing ourselves to still be curious, being grateful for even small things, and finding what brings us joy now!

need help?
You find yourself at a point where you’re left with too many things acquired along the way and many of them no longer hold a purpose in your life. Some hold sentimental value, while others are things we just can’t seem to let go. “More” is not always better, especially as a senior.
I believe that intermittently editing what you keep, allows space for new energy to come in. It also reveals what is important now. Displaying and storing what you love in unique ways reduces stress and allows you to function better in your daily life.
It’s rewarding to help people regain ease, and comfort in their homes, or create a new space.
Let’s explore ideas and methods for resolving your problems and find unique solutions that function for you.
I’m glad I can help preserve what’s timeless and support moves into new phases of life.
I understand. If you have to call it quits early, we will. And we’ll start again when you can.
I can’t wait to see how you decide to transform your life.
